In the mid 1970's I acquired 1/2 track tapes of both the NRSP and Dead performances of this show. In conjunction with a friend "RM", we duplicated them on cassette for general dissemination to whom ever wished a copy. Several years later we discovered that recordings of these shows were not in the Dead's archives. We sent my copies to the Dead via a contact in the organization which copied and returned to me. I still have them in my own storage. I wonder if those tapes are the ultimate source for this offering. Should anyone have any information as to that, I would appreciate a reply. I must admit a special fondness for this show as it was my first concert, post military, since I lived in the Bay area during 1967-68. I also love Jerry's wry comments and the wonderfully sarcastic scratching of their a..'s I mean strings prior to Truckin' . And sometimes forgotten was Jerry's excellent work on the pedal steel guitar during the NRPS set. All in all, it was an excellent evening of music and general holoweenesque merriment.
